Adjacent to the Tallman Hotel is the Blue Wing Saloon. We had dinner there and I have to say it was really, really good. With a nice bottle of wine the evening was perfect. We got there early in the afternoon and it was pretty mellow with not many people in but immediately after the crowds started coming in and by the time we finished our meal the place was hopping!
I had the chicken cordon bleu and friends had the Shepherds pie and boy I tasted it and it was fab! I did not think I would like such a meal as it sounds bla but I loved what I tasted from my friends. I loved my dish very much especially since I love au gratin potatoes and just can’t get enough of it but the Shepherds pie was quite fab!
Together with The Tallman Hotel and dinner at the Blue Wing Saloon – it was a pretty good getaway to Upper Lake County. Along the way you can stop at wineries like Ceago which I will write about in a future post. I definitely recommend a getaway trip up – do it it’s not too expensive and it’s fun and relaxing!
The neighborhood bordering the Tallman Hotel and the Blue Wing Saloon is pretty quiet and sleepy and there’s not much to see so don’t expect a lot to do here as it gets pretty quiet and most of the action at night is at the Blue Wing Saloon.
